49ers Release Deion Jones After Trade

The 49ers are releasing linebacker Deion Jones, just weeks after acquiring him from the Saints in a trade for running back Zamir White.

Deion Jones had a short stay with the 49ers, who are cutting him after recently trading for him, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Jones was sent to San Francisco in exchange for running back Zamir White. newsbetting.bond

Jones, a 2016 second-round pick by the Falcons, made the Pro Bowl in his second season. He has played six seasons with Atlanta, plus stints with Cleveland, Carolina, and Tampa Bay before joining New Orleans in August.
