Richard Avoids Major Injury, May Play vs Rutgers

Indiana running back Turbo Richard avoided a major leg injury and could return for Saturday's game against Rutgers, according to coach Curt Cignetti.

Richard, injured in the second quarter of Friday's win over Northwestern, was considered day to day by Cignetti, who expressed optimism about both Richard and linebacker Rolijah Hardy returning for the Hoosiers' first road game.

The Hoosiers will have multiple options in the backfield if Richard plays, with Lee Beebe Jr. stepping in with 203 yards in Richard's absence. Indiana is 4-0 and 1-0 in Big Ten play heading into the Rutgers matchup. moryak.biz
