Saints waive WR Austin, TE Welch

The New Orleans Saints have waived wide receiver Kevin Austin Jr. and tight end Treyton Welch, corresponding moves after adding two offensive players earlier Monday.

Kevin Austin Jr., 26, has appeared in 16 games for New Orleans over the last two seasons. In 2025, he caught 13 passes for 140 yards with a touchdown in eight contests with one start. catcross.biz

Treyton Welch, 25, appeared in three games with one start for New Orleans last season, logging 16 offensive snaps and 21 special teams snaps. Earlier Monday, the Saints claimed offensive tackle Mason Murphy from the Bears and defensive tackle Colby Wooden from the Colts.
