Men først, tilbake til start, for debatten skjøt fart etter at Amodei publiserte essayet «We Must Pace the Frontier».
Takk for oppmerksomheten!
President DONALD J. TRUMP»
World of Warcraft 2 isn't happening because Blizzard isn't sure what a sequel to the MMO would "give you that World of Warcraft: Forever isn't already giving you"
World of Warcraft: Forever has been making the rounds online after Blizzard's big reveal at BlizzCon 2026, standing as the closest official thing we'll get to the long-coveted Classic+, but it does also mean we probably won't see a retail sequel.
In other words, World of Warcraft 2 – which, honestly, feels a bit silly to even write. After all, World of Warcraft itself is an ongoing project as you know, standing as the biggest MMO to date… one that's over two decades in the making now.
With Forever underway, too, there's little reason for such a sequel to ever actually come to fruition, anyway, as principal designer Kris Zierhut tells IGN in a new interview.
"I think one of the things that's singularly great about WoW is we have this game and this world and this design that has been continuously developed for the last 25 years," he explains – and, yeah, that checks out.
As Zierhut puts it, "We keep making it better. We made the graphics better, we made the rendering better, we made the lighting better," you name it. It's all better in retail, and, yes, Forever. All of that, plus the way things work behind the scenes.
"We've also made the way the engine draws things move more efficiently," Zierhut continues. "The way the server runs, handling players and moving them around, and all the things that handle spells and combat, all of that's been made more efficient and better over the years. We have this incredible engine and server infrastructure driving the game that is second to none."
So, "Why would you throw that away and start over?"
Why would you, indeed… not to mention the decades-in-progress lore that World of Warcraft sits upon. "It's not like there's something wrong with the story," as the dev says. "We love the story. So, going back to the beginning [with World of Warcraft: Forever], there's a chance to explore that story in new and different ways."
Considering all of this, Blizzard doesn't really have any motivation to move away from it all to try and conjure up a sequel.
As Zierhut concludes, "It's really hard to say, 'Well, what would a WoW 2 give you that World of Warcraft: Forever isn't already giving you?'"
I get it – it's not just a nostalgic rework with plenty of new features to look forward to, it's a chance to attract both fresh faces and longtime fans, too… the same way a World of Warcraft 2 would, except perhaps a bit better at grabbing the attention of the former.
I, for one, can't wait to dive into World of Warcraft: Forever come its November release – and, much like I'm not inclined to wish for a Minecraft 2, I'm not bothered about potentially never seeing a World of Warcraft 2 arrive.
Strikeborn codes (September 2026) for emotes and spins
Strikeborn codes can be used to collect some extra items that can modify your combat style in this fighting experience inspired by manga series such as Berserk and Jujutsu Kaisen. You'll need to hone your skills and level up your fighter if you don't want to find yourself outclassed by your opponents in the battlegrounds.
The promos released so far during the Early Access period unlock random rewards, which could be an emote so you can show off some new moves or a spin to reroll your abilities in this Roblox experience. If you're all set for the fight, then here are the current codes for Strikeborn and how to redeem them.
If you're looking for some generic promos for rewards that span all of your experiences, then check out the most recent Roblox promo codes.
Strikeborn is currently only available in Early Access, which requires a R$400 pass, though it should be free-to-play when it reaches general release.
All Strikeborn codes
The following Strikeborn codes are available to claim:
- 15KLIKES – Random Emote or Spin
- SBUPDATE1 – Random Emote or Spin
There are a couple of Strikeborn codes that have been revealed during the Early Access period, which can be used to pick up several randomized rewards. The developer states that "content and progress may change" so there's no guarantee that anything will carry over to the full release, but if you have access now then it won't do any harm to grab these rewards.
How to redeem Strikeborn codes

To redeem Strikeborn codes if you have Early Access, you can tap the Shop button at the top of the screen to bring up the STORE menu, then hit the Codes tab on the right-hand side. This will show an Enter Code here text box below, where you can type in a promo before using the Redeem button to collect your reward.
Expired Strikeborn codes
- No expired codes
As the experience is still in Early Access and promos have only just been introduced, there are currently no expired Strikeborn codes to report. This situation is never permanent, however, so get any active promos claimed as soon as you can.

Scream star Courteney Cox wants to direct a sequel: "Nobody knows more about that movie than I do"
Courteney Cox, who plays everyone's favorite problematic news journalist Gale Weathers, wouldn't mind directing an installment of the Scream franchise.
"I think I should, honestly. Nobody knows more about that movie than I do," Cox told Deadline from TIFF, where he directorial debut has just screened. "I mean, and the creator, and Wes Craven, and the writers, and everybody who’s been in it. But I think it’d be great and fun and a good publicity thing. Get on it."
Following the financial success of Scream 7, an eighth installment was swiftly greenlit at Paramount. Scream 8 officially entered development earlier this year, with Poker Face writers Lilla and Nora Zuckerman attached to write the script. A director has not yet been attached, as OG Scream writer and Scream 7 director Kevin Williamson isn't expected to return.
Cox played Gale in the original 1996 film and has reprised the role in every installment since, eventually becoming a friend to Sidney Prescott and forgiving her for that iconic punch to the face. In Scream 7, Sid finally gives Gale that exclusive, exploitative interview she's been after since the first film... and it goes about as well as you'd think.
The seventh film was also fueled by OG franchise cameos and nostalgic references, with Matthew Lillard making his first appearance since dying at the end of the flagship film. I don't think the legendary Wes Craven, who passed away in 2015, would mind Cox helming a future installment.
Scream 8 does not yet have a release date. For more, check out our ranking of the best Scream movies and keep up with all the upcoming horror movies heading your way.
Forget GTA 6, I have brought GTA 5 closer to being the true greatest game of all time: Hulk – Ultimate Destruction
I'm modding GTA 5 every day in a quest to either transform it into a PC version of GTA 6 or break it entirely. Come back tomorrow to find out what new horrible thing I've done to Rockstar's baby, or check out what I got up to earlier.
Here's some logic for you: Grand Theft Auto 6—fattened on its billions—cannot help but be the greatest game of all time. This I have gathered from the apocalyptic euphoria that surrounds its release. But GTA 6 is not out yet, and the greatest game of all time, currently, is The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction for the PlayStation 2, original Xbox, and GameCube.
Ergo, QED, post hoc ergo propter hoc, abracadabra: GTA 6 will basically be like The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction.
With that key fact in mind, and with the aim of continuing to transform Grand Theft Auto the fifth into a facsimile of GTA 6 (this time on PC), I have installed Superman V into GTA 5. Your heroes now have laser eyes (also cryo eyes, pulse eyes, solar flare eyes, and so on), super speed, freeze breath, the ability to fly, and X-ray vision—which so far as I can tell is a heat-haze effect that happens intermittently.
I have waved goodbye to guns, much like the protagonist of A Farewell To Arms, who also probably did that after learning he could set people on fire by staring at them.
It works alarmingly well. I can ignite passing cars with my heat vision, freeze cops where they stand, and subject Los Santos' now-roving ambient hit squads to the carcinogenic effects of sustained X-ray exposure. I can also fly, which sometimes works, and sometimes results in Franklin, Michael, or Trevor tumbling lazily but uncontrollably through the sky, like an airborne flower.

My only concern is that, at this point, I am rapidly running out of keys on my keyboard with which to activate the various mods I have installed. At time of writing, hitting any of my function keys will summon a pile-up of distinct mod menus: Enhanced Native Trainer, Menyoo, the one that controls giving people piggybacks, the one that controls summoning dogs. What if what breaks by the end of this thing is not GTA 5, but my ability to control it?
